Control Purposes and to be Crown Land in the Borough
of Whakatane
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works hereby proclaims as closed the
street described in the Schedule hereto, and, pursuant to the
Public Works Act 1928, hereby: (a) declares that, a sufficient
agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land
comprised in the street hereby closed is hereby taken for soil
conservation and river control purposes from and after the
30th day of August 1971; and (b) further declares the land
described in the said Schedule to be Crown land subject to
the Land Act 1948, or from the 30th day of August 1971.

Renewal and Housing Improvement Act 1945, in the City of
Auckland
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement
to that effect having been entered into, the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for resubdivision and
improvement in a reclamation area proclaimed under Part II
of the Urban Renewal and Housing Improvement Act 1945,
and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the
City of Auckland from and after the 30th day of August 1971.
