Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Tuwharetoa peoples.

Acquisition of Land as Reserve for Recreation Purposes

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a public reserve for recreation purposes subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act.

New Zealand Remuneration Authority Cost of Living Order

Pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Stabilisation of Remuneration Act 1971, the Remuneration Authority, having received from the Government Statistician on the 7th day of July 1971 a copy of the consumers' price index for the quarter ending with the 30th day of June 1971, disclosing a percentage increase of 4.8 percent for the period 1st day of January 1971 to 30th day of June 1971, hereby orders as follows:

  1. The said figure of 4.8 percent shall be the percentage with reference to which on the date mentioned in clause 3 hereof every rate of remuneration in every award or industrial agree-

ment made under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, or agreement under section 8 of the Labour Disputes Investigation Act 1913, for the time being in force shall, subject to the provisos and exceptions contained in section 16 of the Stabilisation of Remuneration Act 1971, be varied in accordance with subsection (4) of the said section 16.

  1. For the purposes of this order the term “remuneration” means salary or wages; and includes time and piece wages, and allowances the rates of which are a specified proportion of the rate of salary or wages.

  2. This order shall come into force on the 21st day of July 1971.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
