Notice is further given that plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk and Chief Executive Officer to the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and are there available for public inspection without fee by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such land who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk and Chief Executive Officer, at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei. If any objection is made to the taking of the said land a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires. Each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH LAND WAS ACQUIRED

IN the matter of section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Act and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to change the purpose for which the land described in the Schedule hereto was acquired (namely for the purposes of car sheds in connection with electric tramways purposes) to some other purpose (namely for housing).

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the proposed change of purpose should, if they have any objections to the proposed change of purpose, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 acre 2 roods 12 perches (1 A. 2 R. 12 P.) being part Town Belt, Town of Wellington, situated in Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 364, folio 99 (Wellington Registry); as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington numbered 28023, and thereon coloured blue.

CORRIGENDUM

IN the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of 24 June 1971, No. 47, p. 1222, Housing (Broderick Road) Additional Loan No. 2, 1971—$16,000, the special rate was incorrectly printed as decimal nought nought five of a cent (.005c). The notice is hereby republished as follows:

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of June 1971:

Housing (Broderick Road) Additional Loan No. 2, 1971—$16,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of sixteen thousand dollars to be known as Housing (Broderick Road) Additional Loan No. 2, 1971—$16,000, to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting additional costs of providing flats for the public and pensioners, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nought five of a cent (.0005c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Joint Special Sewerage Repayment Loan No. 3, 1971—$34,800

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council, at a meeting held on the 7th day of April 1971, passed the following resolution:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $34,800, authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of the Joint Special Sewerage Loan 1961, $1,338,000, Second Issue $400,000, Second Instalment $200,000, part $38,140, which mature on 1 March 1971, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.00663c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all the property of the City of Whangarei, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 29 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

COUNTY OF STRATFORD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1971, $3,500

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500), authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing staff housing or advancing funds to employees to obtain houses, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal zero zero four five cents (.0045c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 29th day of June 1971.

NORTHLAND CATCHMENT COMMISSION

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Northland Catchment Commission hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $450,000, authorised to be raised by the Northland Catchment Commission under the above-mentioned Act, for the Hikurangi Swamp Major Scheme, the said Northland Catchment Commission hereby makes a special rate of three dollars per acre, on a graduated scale, according to the classification as shown in the Schedule hereto, on all rateable property in the Hikurangi Swamp Special Rating Area, defined as described in the New Zealand Gazette dated 2 February 1967, No. 4, page 136, and referred to in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 11 July 1968, No. 43, page 1194, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
