NOTICE is hereby given that the Proposed Exemptions from Import Licensing which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 26 November 1970 are hereby amended as follows:

The Stokes Valley Licensing Trust Constitution Notice 1970

PURSUANT to the Local Licensing Trusts Regulations*, the Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Stokes Valley Licensing Trust Constitution Notice 1970.
  2. There is hereby constituted a local licensing trust, to be called the Stokes Valley Licensing Trust.
  3. (1) The first election of members of the Trust shall be held on Saturday, the 6th day of March 1971.
    (2) The Returning Officer for the first election of members of the Trust shall be Kenneth Alexander Hamilton, City Treasurer for the City of Lower Hutt.
  4. The area within which polls shall be taken for elections of members of the Trust shall be the whole of the area described in the Schedule to this notice.
  5. The area within which the Trust shall distribute its profits shall be the whole of the area described in the Schedule to this notice.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising portion of the City of Lower Hutt bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western boundary of Section 742, Hutt District, with the eastern side of Eastern Hutt Road in Block IV, Belmont S.D., and proceeding southerly and generally easterly along the western and generally southern boundaries of the said Section 742 to its easternmost corner; thence generally southerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 27329, the north-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 248, Hutt District, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 234 and 233, Hutt District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 233; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 233, and the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12561, to the northernmost corner of that lot; thence generally northerly along the generally eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 14859, the eastern boundary of Section 718, Hutt District, the southern and western boundaries of Section 770, Hutt District, the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 717, Hutt District, the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 61 and 62, Hutt District, Lot 1, D.P. 14872, and part Section 199, Hutt District (C.T. 966/66), the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 199 and its production to the left bank of the Hutt River, along that bank to a point due west of the point of commencement, and along a right line to the point of commencement.

Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto the land described in the Second Schedule hereto was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas it is desired to release part of that land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV and to retain the balance of the said land under the provisions of the aforesaid Part XXIV:

Now, therefore, pursuant to sections 330 and 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1971, No. 1.
  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
  3. The land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
  4. The land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
