The Traffic (Alexandra Borough) Notice No. 1, 1971

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Alexandra Borough) Notice No. 1, 1971.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 6th day of August 1970†, which relates to Alexandra Borough, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Alexandra Borough:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) (from the north western boundary of Alexandra Borough to Gregg Street and from the southern boundary of Alexandra Borough to the southern end of the bridge over the Clutha River).

Earnscleugh Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Alexandra Borough:

Earnscleugh Road (from the No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) to a point 16 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Aranui Road).

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Alexandra Borough:

No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton) (from the north-western boundary of Alexandra Borough to Gregg Street and from the southern boundary of Alexandra Borough to the southern end of the bridge over the Clutha River).

Situated within Vincent County adjacent to Alexandra Borough:

No. 85 State Highway (Palmerston-Alexandra) (from Coal Pit Road to the north-eastern boundary of Alexandra Borough).

Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Kingston

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes on and after the 28th day of June 1971.

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Stewart Island County Council of a Reserve and Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Stewart Island and changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for a camping ground to a reserve for recreation purposes.

SECTION 126, Block I, Paterson Survey District: area, 4 acres and 1 rood, more or less (S.O. Plan 2418).

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for esplanade purposes described in the Schedule hereto and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Manukau City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other public reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for public reserves.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—MANUKAU CITY
Lot 1, D.P. 64645 (formerly part Lot 4, D.P. 50628), being part Allotment 2098, Manurewa Parish, situated in Block V, Otahuhu Survey District: area, 0.8 perch, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 913, folio 43.
