is retired with effect from 9 May 1971.
Squadron Leader John Henry Bond (130310) is retired with
effect from 30 May 1971.
Flight Lieutenant John Ross Falls (133164) is retired with
effect from 30 May 1971.
Flight Lieutenant Leicester Cornelius Kingsbury, D.F.C.
(131693) is retired with effect from 25 May 1971.
Flight Lieutenant Edward Fancy, M.A. (133884) is retired
with effect from 17 May 1971.
Temporary Squadron Leader William Trevor McKeown, B.A.,
B.SC. (74145) is retired with effect from 13 May 1971.
Flying Officer Ivan Hislop (132491) is retired with effect
from 23 May 1971.

Flying Officer, with effect from 1 May 1971.
Pilot Officer Allan Edward Shea to be temporary Flying
Officer, with effect from 1 June 1971.
Pilot Officer William Herbert Mannix to be temporary Flying
Officer, with effect from 1 May 1971.
Ian Howard O'Loughlin is appointed to a commission for a
period to expire on 6 May 1975, in the rank of Pilot Officer,
with seniority and effect from 7 May 1971.

Promotions
Pilot Officer John Mathews to be Flying Officer, with
seniority and effect from 11 December 1970.
Pilot Officer Ian Gareth Spicer to be Flying Officer, with
effect from 14 March 1971.
Pilot Officer Clive Basil Cleland, A.P.A.N.Z., to be Flying
Officer, with seniority and effect from 9 April 1971.

Extensions of Commissions
Flying Officer John Campbell Pattie is granted an extension
of his commission for a period to expire on 30 May 1972.
Flying Officer Jason Craig Frear is granted an extension of
his commission to expire on 3 May 1972.
With reference to the notice published in the Gazette, 27
March 1971, No. 38, page 984, the date "26 March 1974"
against the name of Anthony Colin Rutherford should read
"27 March 1974".

Resignation of Commissions
Flight Lieutenant Ernest Clifford Doherty resigns his com-
mission, with effect from 31 March 1971.
Pilot Officer Kevin Barrie Cross resigns his commission, with
effect from 31 March 1971.

Termination of Commission
The commission of temporary Squadron Leader the Reverend
Leonard John Silverwood, B.SC., is terminated, with effect from
1 April 1971.

Germany

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified
