Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Auckland South-eastern Motorway in Blocks II and VI, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of Mount Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a motorway desired to be constructed in Blocks II and VI, Otahuhu Survey District, viz, a portion of the Auckland South-eastern Motorway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land situated within the limits shown coloured red on the plan marked M.O.W. 24847 (S.O. 46829) referred to in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at point “A” on the Mount Wellington Borough Boundary 25 links eastwards along that boundary from the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P 55285, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 121 chains to point “B” on the northern side of Waipuna Road 65 links eastwards along the northern side of that road from the westernmost corner of part Lot 16, D.P. 4413. Also commencing at point “C” on the northern bank of the Tamaki River 300 links eastwards along that northern bank of the Tamaki River from the junction of a right line, being the production southwards of the eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 40343, with the northern bank of the Tamaki River and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 58.50 chains and thence in a western direction generally for a distance of approximately 57.25 chains to point “D” on the Mount Wellington Borough Boundary, in Part St. Ann’s Creek, D.P. 10904, and 140 links southwards along that boundary from the southern boundary intersection point of part Bucklands Grant, D.P. 42647. Also commencing at point “E” on the western side of Pilkington Road 175 links southwards along the western side of that road from the southern side of Tamaki Station Road and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 104 chains, crossing the above-described Middle Line (A-B), to point “F” in Mount Wellington Highway, 270 links southwards along Middle Line (E-F) from the northern side of the Ellerslie-Panmure Highway and 45 links westwards of the eastern side of Mount Wellington Highway. Also commencing at point “G” on the above-described Middle Line (C-D) distant 675 links southwards along that Middle Line from the above-described point “C”, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of 1.655 links to point “H” on the northern bank of the Tamaki River distant 1,225 links from the above-described point “C”. Also commencing at point “J” on the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, 175 links eastwards along a line joining the northern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 54821, and the north-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 49095, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 63.75 chains to point “K” on the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway 65 links eastwards along a line, being the production eastwards of the southern boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 44206, from the south-eastern corner of Lot 16, D.P. 44206.
