Customs, Harbours, Declarations, Maori Land




Pursuant to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 15) 1971.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on 1 July 1971.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

Notice of Approval of Bylaws

Pursuant to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that he approves the Manukau City Council Bylaw No. 8, 1967 - Foreshore and Marine Control Amendment No. 2, made by the Manukau City Council by special order and passed by the board at a special meeting held on 25 February 1971, and subsequently confirmed on 25 March 1971.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a burial ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Irikehu Hapu of the Ngaitahu Tribe.
