Declaring Land Taken for Electrical Distribution Works and an Electric Cable Easement Taken Over Land for the Purpose of Electrical Distribution Works in Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for electrical distribution works and shall vest in the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board, and that an electric cable easement in gross is hereby taken for the purposes of electrical distribution works over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board the right to lay cables at least 2 ft deep under the surface of the said land and to transmit electrical energy through the said cables and the right to maintain, repair, and replace the said cables for such purpose and the right, by its servants, agents, contractors, and workmen, with or without vehicles, tools, and appliances to enter upon and to excavate the said land, provided that after excavating the said land or any part thereof the said Board will restore the surface of the said land as nearly as practicable to its former state and condition, from and after the 7th day of June 1971.
