Land Taken for a Secondary School in the City of Manukau
ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a secondary school, and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of June 1971.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in Block IV, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Manukau, North Auckland R.D., described as follows:
A. R. P. Being
17 2 12.4 Part land on D.P. 19201.
0 1 17 Part land on D.P. 12592.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 24939 (S.O. 46927) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 31st day of May 1971.

Revoking a Proclamation Taking Land for a Secondary School in the City of Manukau

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 22nd day of April 1971, and published in Gazette, 29 April 1971, No. 31, page 791, taking land for a secondary school in the City of Manukau.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of May 1971.

Royal Commission to Inquire Into and Report Upon Handling of Containers, Seafreighters, and Unitised Cargo
ELIZABETH THE SECOND, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Her Other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith:
To Our Trusty and Well-beloved LAURENCE HENRY SOUTHWICK, of Auckland, one of Her Majesty's Counsel; the HONOURABLE ARNOLD HENRY NORMEYER, C.M.G., of Wellington, retired member of Parliament; and FRANK ANDREW REEVES, C.B.E., of Auckland, retired general manager:

GREETING:
KNOW YE that We, reposing trust and confidence in your integrity, knowledge, and ability, hereby nominate, constitute, and appoint you, the said
LAURENCE HENRY SOUTHWICK,
THE HONOURABLE ARNOLD HENRY NORMEYER, and FRANK ANDREW REEVES
to be a Commission to receive representations upon, inquire into, investigate, and report upon:

  1. All matters (other than the question of which ports are to be container ports) relating to the packing, unpacking, stowing, stacking, storing, and general handling of containers, seafreighters, and unitised cargo in respect of both existing and projected services by sea for New Zealand coastal, inter-Island, trans-Tasman, and international cargo transportation with the objective of ensuring the most efficient and economic operation under New Zealand conditions.

  2. Such other associated matters as may be brought to the notice of the Commission or initiated by it which the Commission considers relevant to its functions as defined in clause 1 hereof.

And We hereby appoint you the said
LAURENCE HENRY SOUTHWICK
to be the Chairman of the said Commission.

And for the better enabling you to carry these presents into effect you are hereby authorised and empowered to make and conduct any inquiry or investigation under these presents in such manner and at such time and place as you think expedient, with power to adjourn from time to time and place to place as you think fit, and so that these presents shall continue in force and any such inquiry may at any time and place be resumed although not regularly adjourned from time to time or from place to place:

And you are hereby strictly charged and directed that you shall not at any time publish or otherwise disclose, save to His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of these presents or by His Excellency's direction, the contents of any report so made or to be
