licence under the Public Works Act 1928 to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, as well as a consent under the Electricity Act 1968 to generate electricity by the use of water.

The generation of electricity by the use of water pursuant to this consent shall be carried out by means of the works described in the Schedule hereto.

This consent shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1986 or until electricity is available from an electrical supply authority, whichever is the earlier.

This consent confers no rights to water under the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967 or otherwise.

For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this consent, the maximum generating capacity of the plant at the date of this consent is 16 kW.
SCHEDULE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake.
(b) Pipeline leading to the powerhouse, giving a static head of approximately 325 ft.
(c) Pelton wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equipment for generating electricity situated in Section 3, Block XV, Mid Wakatipu Survey District.
(d) Tail race from the powerhouse to Lake Wakatipu.
As shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 831/1 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Licensing the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board of Napier to Erect and Use Electric Lines
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby licenses the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board, of Napier, subject to the following conditions, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to compliance with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1961, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and all regulations made in amendment of or in substitution for any of those regulations.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (b) of regulation 15 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1967, and shall be an alternating current system.

The licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1992.
SCHEDULE
UNDERGROUND cables commencing from the licensee's switchboard and proceeding in a northerly direction generally crossing Napier Terrace to a nurses' home. All being situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, in the city of Napier, as shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 820 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Land Taken for Better Utilisation and Closed Road Near Utiku Set Apart for Railway Purposes
Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes. This declaration shall take effect from and after the 17th day of May 1971.

0 0 11.6 Section 83, Block VI, Hautapu Survey District; coloured blue on plan.
6 1 20 Section 84, Block VI, Hautapu Survey District; coloured green on plan, being the land comprised and described secondly and thirdly in the Second Schedule, Notice No. 809776, Wellington Land Registry.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L.O. 25359 and 24645 (S.O. 27757 and 27540) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-mentioned.
