Present:

THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society (South Canterbury Branch) Incorporated Order 1971.

  2. The Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society (South Canterbury Branch) Incorporated, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemption in respect of the sheltered workshop at Theodosia Street, Timaru, from:

(a) All the provisions of every award and industrial agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and

(b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.

Authorising the Northland Harbour Board to Reclaim Endowment Land at Paihia

Pursuant to section 175 (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Northland Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea at Paihia an area of 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, of endowment land as shown on sheet 15 of plan M.D. 13992, deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.
