Land Held for Refuse Disposal Purposes in the City of Nelson, Set Apart for a Recreation Ground

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto was taken for refuse disposal purposes and vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Nelson, by a Proclamation dated the 28th day of July 1944 and published in Gazette, 3 August 1944, Vol. II, at p. 940, and whereas the land described in the Second Schedule hereto was acquired for refuse disposal purposes and vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Nelson, by Transfer No. 47258, Nelson Land Registry.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1952, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the said pieces of land are hereby set apart for a recreation ground as from the 17th day of May 1971.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 7 acres 3 roods 21.3 perches situated in the City of Nelson, Nelson R.D., and being part Sections 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8, Block H, District of Wakatu (part of the above now being part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 7447).

SECOND SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 8 acres 3 roods 30.8 perches situated in the City of Nelson, Nelson R.D., and being Lot 2, D.P. 4261, being part Sections 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8, Block H, District of Wakatu, Section 256 and part Sections 254 and 255, City of Nelson (part of the above now being part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 7447).

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 25043 (S.O. 10871) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 1st day of May 1971.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of May 1971.
