Compulsory Stopping of Certain Vehicles at Railway Crossings—Provision of Exemptions

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 64 of the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby declares that nothing in subsection (1) of the said section 64 shall apply with respect to the railway level crossings described in the Schedule hereto.

SITUATED with Paparua County:

The railway level crossing on No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) at Hornby near its intersection with Shands and Carmen Road.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1971

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


N O T I C E

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1971.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The notice dated the 15th day of February 1971† which relates to the Whangarei County at Ruakaka is hereby revoked.

  4. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 18th day of October 1961‡ which relates to Marsden Point and One Tree Point in Whangarei County is hereby revoked.

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


N O T I C E

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawera County) Notice No. 2, 1971.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The notices under the Transport Act 1962 dated the 26th day of August 1970† and the 2nd day of February 1971‡, which relate to the Hawera County are hereby revoked.

  5. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 21st day of November 1962§, which relates to the former Normanby Town District, now part of Hawera County, is hereby revoked.
