Present:
THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Hydatids Act 1968, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
1.(1) This order may be cited as the Ashley Hydatids Control District Order 1971.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

The area comprising the County of Ashley is hereby declared a hydatids control district to be called the Ashley Hydatids Control District.

The Ashley County Council is hereby appointed the Hydatids Control Authority for the Ashley hydatids control district.

PURSUANT to section 8 of the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand hereby appoint:
Donald Stuart Gore Marchbanks, of Wellington, Civil Engineer;
Eric James Stonyer, an officer of the Department of Agriculture;
Patrick Jerad O'Dea, an officer of the Department of Internal Affairs;
Eric Bruce Mackenzie, an officer of the New Zealand Electricity Department;
Donald Gordon McGill, an officer of the Ministry of Works;
Robert Richard Louis Harcourt, an officer of the Department of Health;
Frederick Howard Steward, of Wellington, to represent local authorities;
Alan David Talbot, of Geraldine, to represent local authorities;
Edward Hamish Simpson, of Marton, to represent local authorities;
Alexander Campbell Begg, of Mount Somers, to represent the interests of primary industry in natural water;
Bartholomew Robin Mann, of Christchurch, to represent manufacturing interests in natural water
to be members of the Water Allocation Council from and including the 3rd day of May 1971; and I hereby appoint the said Donald Stuart Gore Marchbanks to be chairman of the Council.

Bruce William Spooner, an officer of the Ministry of Works;
Ian Robert Clark McDonald, an officer of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research;
Reynolds John Annabell, of Palmerston North, to represent local authorities;
Douglas Gordon Dymock, of Waikohu, to represent local authorities;
Alan James Hanna Hutchison, of Wellington, to represent local authorities;
Henry Malby Cotton, of Lower Hutt, to represent local authorities;
