Pursuant to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby declares the urban area of Okaihau (as delineated on plan numbered F.S.C. 1/291/1 and deposited in the office of the Fire Service Council), to be the Okaihau Secondary Urban Fire District.

This notice shall take effect as from the 31st day of March 1971.

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in Mangamuka Post Office and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said pieces of land not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
