(a) One member appointed by the Christchurch City Council;
(b) One member appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects;
(c) One member appointed by the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers;
(d) Four members elected by the associations of employees in local industries;
(e) Four members elected by the associations of employers in local industries;
(f) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Canterbury;
(g) One member appointed by the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce; and
(h) Four members co-opted by the Board itself, one of whom is to be a woman at any time while there is no other woman member of the Board.
- (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the members of the Christchurch Technical Institute Board of Governors shall hold office for a term of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed or re-elected.
(2) Except in the case of a casual vacancy, every member shall hold office until the 31st day of March in the third year after the year of his appointment or election, and if on the 31st day of March the appointment or election of his successor has not been notified to the Board, he shall continue to hold office until the date on which that appointment or election is notified.
(3) If any member dies, or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the chairman or the secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for 3 consecutive months, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment or election of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed or elected, and the member appointed or elected to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
(4) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof. - This notice is in substitution for the Christchurch Technical Institute Order 1967.

The Papakura High School Board of Governors Notice 1971
NOTICE
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Papakura High School Board of Governors Notice 1971.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1971. - The Board of Governors of Papakura High School shall be constituted as follows:
(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
(b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the Borough of Papakura;
(c) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the County of Franklin;
(d) One member elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, being parents who are resident in the city of Manukau;
(e) One member appointed by the Papakura Borough Council;
(f) Two members to be co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit. - This notice is in substitution for the Papakura High School Board of Governors Order 1962.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby declares the urban area of Tokomaru Bay, inclusive of the urban areas of Waima, Te Puka, Tuatini, and Ongaruru being within a radius of 2Β½ miles from the Tokomaru Bay Post Office, as shown on plan numbered F.S.C. 1/290/P1 and deposited in the office of the Fire Service Council, to be the Tokomaru Bay Secondary Urban Fire District.
