A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the Gazette, become road; and that the said road
shall be under the control of the Ashburton County Council
and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner
as other public highways are controlled and maintained by
the said Council.

shall take effect on and after the 15th day of March 1971.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie
Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road and shall vest in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of
Clutha as from the date hereinafter mentioned and that the
land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 15th day of March 1971.
