Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1971

PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 5) 1971.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

Licensing Wanganui River Jet Tours (1969) Ltd. to Occupy
Sites for Three Pontoon Jetties on the Wanganui River

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
and Fisheries hereby licenses and permits Wanganui River Jet
Tours (1969) Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term
shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires
a different construction) to use and occupy parts of the
Wanganui River at Pipiriki, Puraraoto Caves, and the Manga-
papapa Stream as shown on plans and photographs marked
M.D. 12822 and M.D. 13660 deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of using and
maintaining thereon three pontoon jetties as shown on the
said plans and photographs; such licence to be held and
enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto. The licence of
4 April 1968* authorising Wanganui River Jet Tours Ltd. to
use and occupy the above-mentioned sites is hereby revoked.

  1. At times when the licensee's vessels are not using the
    pontoon jetties at Mangapapapa Stream and Puraraoto Caves,
    the public may use these jetties on the condition that other
    vessels shall keep clear when the licensee's vessels come along-
    side.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regula-
    tions 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far
    as applicable, apply hereto.

  2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day
    of April 1968.

  3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars
    ($10), and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be
    eighteen dollars ($18).

Amending the Foreshore Licence Held by North Ponui Ltd.
for Wharf at Ponui Island


PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine
and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence of 3 February
1961* authorising North Ponui Ltd. to occupy a part of the
foreshore and bed of the sea at Ponui Island as a site for a
wharf as shown on plan M.D. 2650 is hereby amended by
deleting the expression "M.D. 2650" and substituting the
expression "M.D. 14066".
