NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a reservoir and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1970—$200,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $200,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.08644 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Whangarei and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan 1970, $16,000

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $16,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting accommodation for the elderly, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought one seven (.0017) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 40 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Wainuiomata Hill Road Redemption Loan 1970, $4,000

“PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $4,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for repaying on maturity that portion of the Wainuiomata Hill Road (West Side) Reconstruction Loan 1964 of $25,000 which matures on 1 February 1971, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought five three (.0053) cents in the dollar upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Wainuiomata County Town of the County of Hutt and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 17 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
