Exempting Lands in the Westland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

ARTHUR PORRITT, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT--GREY COUNTY
LOT 17, D.P. 1268, being Part Reserve 1070, situated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District. Area, 3 roods and 36.2 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio 519, save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals or metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT--RUNANGA BOROUGH
SECTION 1, Block XL, Runanga Village Settlement, situated in Block III, Cobden Survey District. Area, 1 rood, more or less (S.O. Plan 830), save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or beds of coal and all other minerals or metals, and reserving to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work the said coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress, and regress under the said land.
