Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
amendment is being circulated:

galleries.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and
who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain
copies on loan from the Standards Association of New

(or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 28 February

The Standards Act 1965-Draft Amendment to New Zealand
Standard Specification Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
amendment is being circulated:

D 186 Draft amendment to NZS 2245: 1969. Leather safety
footwear with protective toe-caps.

NOTE—When issued, the amendment will delete the word
“leather” from the title, and thus will widen the scope of the
standard so that its provisions will cover safety footwear made
of other materials. An addition to appendix A recommends
the quality of the steel to be used in the manufacture of
footwear with steel mid-soles.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and
who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain
copies on loan from the Standards Association of New
Zealand, New Zealand Display Centre Building, Sturdee Street
(or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 5 February
1971.
