Declaring an Area in the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as follows:
-
(i) This Proclamation may be cited as the Te Oka Bay Wildlife Refuge Declaration.
(ii) This Proclamation shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The area described in the Schedule to this Proclamation is hereby declared to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—WAIREWA COUNTY
SECTIONS 27 and 31, Kinloch Settlement, situated in Blocks V, VI, IX, and X, Akaroa Survey District; area, 443 acres, more or less (S.O. Plan 1543L).
As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. Wil. 34/11/10 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 2nd day of December 1970.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for soil conservation and river control purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of December 1970.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those pieces of land situated in Block XIV, Maramarua Survey District, described as follows:

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 24343 (S.O. 45001) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue, edged blue.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 13th day of October 1970, and published in Gazette, 22 October 1970, No. 65, p. 1907, taking land for road in Block I, Waiapu Survey District, Waiapu County, in so far as it affects the land secondly described in the Schedule to the said Proclamation, and hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of December 1970.
