Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 40) 1970
Pursuant to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 40) 1970.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. -
Goods of the class specified in the Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirements of a licence under the said regulations.

Licensing Allan Robert Merrilees to Occupy a Site for a Boatshed, Jetty, and Slipway at Brighton
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby licenses and permits Allan Robert Merrilees (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Brighton as shown on plan marked M.D. 13983 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boatshed, jetty, and slipway, as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 12th day of March 1970.

The premium payable by the licensee shall be ten dollars ($10) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20).

Revoking Foreshore Licence issued to Robert Short Anderson for a Jetty at Taieri Mouth, Taieri River
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950 and the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that the licence signed on 1 December 1967* authorising Robert Short Anderson to use and occupy part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Taieri Mouth, Taieri River, as a site for a jetty as shown on the plan M.D. 12770 is hereby revoked.

The Motor Launch (Sunshine Bay, Lake Wakatipu) Notice 1970βLake County Council
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice:
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Sunshine Bay, Lake Wakatipu) Notice 1970.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette, and shall remain in force until further notice. -
Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the area described in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that area of water at Sunshine Bay, Lake Wakatipu, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 100 yds apart extending in a southerly direction 200 yds from the edge of the water at normal lake level, with the western boundary in line with the projection of the western boundary line of Section 6, Block I, Mid Wakatipu Survey District.
SECOND SCHEDULE
The access lane shall be marked as follows:

Two 8-ft transit posts with a distance of not less than 10 ft or more than 20 ft between and painted with 12 in. bright orange and black bands shall be erected on land in line with each side of the access lane, the first post being sited at high-water mark on the lake margin at normal lake level.

On each side of the transit posts sited on high-water mark on the lake margin at normal lake level there shall be fastened in line with the sides of the access lane a notice board measuring not less than 2ft 6in. by 2ft, painted bright orange, with black lettering in the following form:
"NOTICE
MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1962
Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
Bathers Keep Out"

Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, shall be moored 50 yds apart and in line with each set of transit posts, the first buoy being 50 yds from the waterβs edge.

Marker buoys, either barrel, drum, or spherical shaped, painted bright orange with a vertical black stripe, may be moored 200 yd from the lake margin at normal lake level and in line with each set of transit posts.

Licensing Otakou Fisheries Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Shed and Wharf at Taieri River Mouth
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Otakou Fisheries Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Taieri River Mouth, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10061 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a shed and wharf as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
