Notice Declaring Surplus Crown Land to be Vested in the Vincent Hospital Board

PURSUANT to section 68 of the Hospitals Act 1957, the Minister of Health hereby declares the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be vested in the Vincent Hospital Board.

Special Arrangements for the Provision of Medical Services for the Residents of Wanaka and Surrounding District

PURSUANT to section 117 of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Health has made special arrangements whereby all persons for the time being resident in the district described in the Schedule hereto who are entitled to claim benefits under Part II of that Act shall be entitled to receive, free of charge, at the hands of any registered medical practitioner who is employed or engaged by the Vincent Hospital Board or who is providing relief for such persons pursuant to a contract made with the said Board under section 78 of the Hospitals Act 1957, general medical services as defined in section 88 (1) of the Social Security Act 1964.

These special arrangements are in addition to the benefits provided by Part II of the Social Security Act 1964.

Provided that no person may receive from the Department of Health, under that Act, any payment in respect of any service or requirement given or supplied pursuant to the arrangements.


SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Lake and Vincent, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of a right line between Mount Aspiring and the outlet of Lake Ohau with the summit of the range passing through Mount Gladwish and Mount Martha, and proceeding generally southerly along the summit of that range to Mount Martha; thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Run 734 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Run 236; thence generally south-easterly to and along that boundary of that Run and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that Run to its southernmost corner; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. J on the eastern boundary of Run 236C Lower Hawea Survey District; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of Runs 236C and 236E to the north-western boundary of Run 236G; thence generally south-westerly and southerly along the north-western and western boundaries of that Run to Trig. O, Block X, Tarras Survey District; thence generally westerly along the southern boundary of Run 236F to Trig. M; thence due west along a right line to the eastern side of State Highway No. 8A; thence generally southerly along the eastern side of that highway to the northern boundary of Block XII, Tarras Survey District; thence due west along a right line to and along the southern boundary of Block VII, Tarras Survey District to the middle of the Clutha River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to its confluence with Luggate Creek; thence generally south-westerly up the middle of Luggate Creek to its intersection with a right line
