BOUNDARIES OF TOETOES RIDING
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland
County, bounded by a line, commencing at the mouth of the
Mataura River and the ocean; thence south-easterly generally
along the sea coast, crossing the mouths of all harbours and
inlets to the mouth of Long Beach Creek; thence north-
westerly generally along the middle of Long Beach Creek to
the northern side of No. 92 State Highway; thence westerly
along the said State highway to the south-eastern corner of
part Section 13, Block XV, Waikawa Survey District (Scenic
Reserve); thence northerly and westerly along the boundary
of Wyndham Survey District to the south-eastern corner of
Section 5, Block XIV, Mokoreta Survey District; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XIV
aforesaid, and the production of this boundary to the northern
side of a public road; thence north-westerly along the north-
eastern side of the said public road to a point due south
of Trig EE; thence due north along a right line to Trig EE;
thence north-westerly generally along the watershed passing
through Table Ridge and Mount Alfred, Bleak Hill, Mouse
Back, and Trig G to Trig H (chimney); thence along a right
line to peg No. XIII on boundary of Section 6, Block VI,
Mokoreta Survey District; thence north-westerly generally
along the north-eastern boundary of Section 6, Block VI
aforesaid, to and across the Wyndham-Clinton Road to the
north-eastern corner of Section 5, Block VI, Mokoreta Survey
District; thence north-westerly generally along the north-
eastern boundaries of Section 5, aforesaid, and the last-
mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mokoreta
River; thence north-easterly along the middle of the Mokoreta
River to a point in line with the south-western corner of
Section 6, Block VII, Slopedown Survey District; thence north-
westerly and north-easterly to the northernmost corner of
Section 6 aforesaid; thence north-westerly along a right line
being the production of the north-eastern boundary of Section
6 aforesaid, to the boundary of Run 251; thence north-
easterly and north-westerly along the boundary of Run 251
to the southernmost corner of Section 3, Block VI, Slopedown
Survey District; thence north-westerly along the boundary
of Section 3 aforesaid, and the production of that boundary
across a public road to its northern side; thence westerly
generally along the northern side of the said public road to the
middle of the Mimihau Stream; thence westerly along the
middle of the Mimihau Stream to the middle of the Mataura
River; thence southerly generally along the boundary of the
Waihopai Riding as hereinbefore described to the point of
commencement; excluding therefrom the Town District of
Wyndham as described in Gazette, 1882, p. 1137.
