1956 of $500,000, the Transport Loan 1960 of $2,564,460, The Terrace Parking Building Loan 1962 of $900,000, and Renewal Loan 1964 of $1,097,400 which mature on 1 October and 1 November 1970, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nine of a cent (.029c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1970, $21,000

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimairi County Council held on 17 September, 1970:

"Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $21,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Waimairi County Council makes a special rate of 0.000977c (cents) in the $ (dollar) upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the County of Waimairi, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

J. R. McKenzie Trust Amendment Bill

An Act to Amend the J. R. McKenzie Trust Act 1947

Notice is hereby given that Roy Allan McKenzie of Wellington, chartered accountant, and one of the trustees of the Board of Trustees of the J. R. McKenzie Trust intends to apply for leave to bring into the House of Representatives, during the present session of Parliament, the above intituled Bill. The objects of the proposed Bill are to empower the said Board of Trustees to accumulate a portion not exceeding 20 percentum of the net annual income of the trust funds and to treat as capital such dividends received by it which are declared by the company making the same to be paid out of capital reserves and/or profits made on the sale or realisation of capital assets.
