The Traffic (Opotiki County) Notice No. 1, 1970
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Opotiki County)
    Notice No. 1, 1970.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby
    declared to be closely populated localities for the purpose of
    section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
    the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The notice under section 3 of the Motor Vehicle Amend-
    ment Act 1936 dated the 19th day of March 1940†, which
    relates to Opotiki County is hereby revoked.
    FIRST SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Opotiki County adjacent to Opotiki Borough:
    No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne)
    (from the south-western boundary of Opotiki Borough to
    Hikutaia Road).
    Hikutaia Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-
    Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 50 chains measured south-
    westerly generally along the said road from the said State
    Highway).
    SECOND SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Opotiki County adjacent to Opotiki Borough:
    Woodlands Road (from Hikutaia Road to a point 11 chains
    measured southerly generally along the said road from Roache
    Road).
    Grant Road (from Woodlands Road to a point 40 chains
    measured southerly generally along the said road from Wood-
    lands Road).
    Dated at Wellington this 7th day of September 1970.

    PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
    hereby gives the following notice:
    NOTICE
  5. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawke's Bay
    County) Notice No. 5, 1970.
  6. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Hawke's Bay County at Pakowhai:
    Pakowhai Road (from a point 12 chains measured south-
    easterly generally along the said road from Brookfields Road
    to a point 32 chains measured north-westerly generally along
    Pakowhai Road from Brookfields Road).
    Dated at Wellington this 9th day of September 1970.

    PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
    hereby gives the following notice:
    NOTICE
  7. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paparua County)
    Notice No. 1, 1970.
  8. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  9. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
    dated the 3rd day of April 1958†, which relates to the former
    Halswell County at Tai Tapu is hereby revoked.
    SCHEDULE
    SITUATED within Paparua County at Tai Tapu:
    No. 75 State Highway (Christchurch-Akaroa) (from a point
    4 chains measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Michaels Road to a point 4 chains measured northerly generally along the said State highway from the Lincoln - Tai Tapu Road).
    Dated at Wellington this 14th day of September 1970.

    PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
    Railways hereby declares the Crown land described in the
    Schedule hereto to be set apart for railway purposes on and
    after the 21st day of September 1970.
    SCHEDULE
    CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
    APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of Crown land set apart:
    A. R. P. Being
    0 1 33.3 Part Section 13, Block VIII, Lowry Peaks Survey
    District; coloured sepia.
    3 2 23.4 Part Section 14, Block VIII, Lowry Peaks Survey
    District; coloured sepia.
    5 1 20 Part Section 2, Block XII, Lowry Peaks Survey
    District; coloured blue.
    All situated in Cheviot County (S.O. 11224).
    As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
    marked L.O. 24879 deposited in the office of the Minister of
    Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above-
    mentioned.

    Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work at Okaihau
    and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

    PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
    Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in
    the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act
    1948, as from the 21st day of September 1970.
    SCHEDULE
    NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY
    APPROXIMATE areas of the piece of land declared Crown land:
    A. R. P. Being
    5 0 25.1 Part Railway Land in Proclamation No. 3966,
    situated in Block VII, Omapere Survey District,
    Bay of Islands County (S.O. 46660).
    As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
    marked L.O. 24831 deposited in the office of the Minister of
    Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
    Dated at Wellington this 15th day of September 1970.
