The Controlled (Non-Resident) Accounts Notice 1968,
Amendment No. 14


PURSUANT to the Exchange Control Regulations 1965, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Controlled (Non-Resident) Accounts Notice 1968, Amendment No. 14, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Controlled (Non-Resident) Accounts Notice 1968* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

(b) This notice shall come into force on the 11th day of August 1970.

  1. The Third Schedule of the principal notice is hereby amended by inserting the following name:

Election of Grower Representative on the Potato Board


PURSUANT to section 6 of the Potato Growing Industry Act 1950 and under the provisions of the Potato Board Election Regulations 1951, notice is hereby given that the roll of growers in the Northern Ward who are entitled to vote for a grower member on the Potato Board will be open for public inspection during ordinary office hours, for a period of 7 days from 19 August 1970, at the Head Office of the Board, Wellington, and at the offices of the Hawke’s Bay, Rangitikei, Manawatu, and the Wairarapa Potato Growers’ Associations.

Nomination forms may be had on application to any of the above offices or from the Returning Officer, P.O. Box 11–125, Wellington.

Nominations must be in the hands of the Returning Officer by not later than noon on the 2nd day of September 1970.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities


PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Temporary Protection of Industry


NOTICE is hereby given that the Emergency Protection Authority has been requested to undertake an inquiry in terms of the Tariff and Development Board Amendment Act 1967, and to report, in terms of section 10D of that Act, concerning the following goods:

Glassine paper, falling within Tariff items ex 48.03.05 and ex 48.03.09.

Date of reference: 14 August 1970.

Notice is hereby also given that the Emergency Protection Authority has been requested to undertake an inquiry and to report, in terms of section 10E (4) of the Tariff and Development Board Amendment Act 1967, on whether the temporary duties imposed in accordance with the Customs Tariff Amendment Order (No. 13) 1969, are still necessary to protect the New Zealand industry in relation to the importation of the woven textile fabrics concerned.

PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Christchurch Cake Bakery and Cake Kitchen Industrial Union of Employers, Registered No. 1736, situated at 220 High Street, Christchurch, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of 6 weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
