Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, extension of commission, and resignation of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Promotions

Flight Lieutenant Garry Richard Hilder (464591) to be Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 18 December 1969.

Flight Lieutenant Peter William Tremayne (78673) to be Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 18 December 1969.

Promotion

Flight Lieutenant Brian James Francis, M.B., CH.B. (U.N.Z.) (134201), to be Squadron Leader, with seniority and effect from 1 January 1970.

Resignation

Squadron Leader David Govett Romaine Wright, M.B., CH.B. (U.N.Z.), F.F.A.R.A.C.S., F.F.A.R.C.S. (134314), is permitted to resign his commission, with effect from 1 December 1969.

Extension of Commission

Squadron Leader (temp.) Eric Desmond McCabe (130910) is granted an extension of his commission, for a period to expire on 31 July 1973.

Transfers

Wing Commander John Leslie Scott, D.F.C., p.s.c., c.f.s. (70101), is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers, for a period to expire on 14 September 1972, with effect from 15 January 1970.

Flight Lieutenant Arthur Edmund Dovey (81496) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers, for a period to expire on 5 January 1974, with effect from 19 January 1970.

AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointment

Flight Lieutenant Stuart Rose McRobie to be Temporary Squadron Leader, with effect from 1 January 1970.

Transfer

Flight Lieutenant David Allen Low (132814) is transferred from the Reserve of Air Force Officers to the Air Training Corps, for a period to expire on 31 March 1970, with effect from 2 December 1969.

Termination of Commission

The commission of the Reverend Anthony Peter William Wilson is terminated, with effect from 20 December 1969.

Extension of Age for Retirement

Wing Commander Keith Rex Orsborn, C.ENG., A.F.R.AE.S., j.s.s.c., p.s.c. (70214), is granted an extension of his age for retirement, with effect from 22 October 1969, for a period to expire on 1 May 1972.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Transfer

Wing Commander Robert Malcolm Allan, B.E.(HONS.), D.I.C., C.ENG., M.I.MECHE., M.N.Z.I.E., p.s.c. (74148), is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers, for a period to expire on 31 January 1975, with effect from 4 November 1969.

Extension of Commission

Squadron Leader Barry David Gordon (326321) is granted an extension of his commission, for a period to expire on 17 December 1973, with effect from 18 December 1969.

Transfer to Retired List

Flight Lieutenant Mark Joseph Rose, A.C.A. (133100), is transferred to the Retired List “B”, with effect from 22 November 1969.

Termination of Commission

The commission of Flight Lieutenant Murray Frederick Houston (134237) is terminated, with effect from 14 November 1969.

AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments

Derek Edward Neal is appointed to a commission in the Air Training Corps, in the rank of Pilot Officer, for a period to expire on 12 May 1973, with seniority and effect from 13 May 1969.

Donald Guy Godfrey is appointed to a commission in the Air Training Corps, in the rank of Pilot Officer, for a period to expire on 3 November 1973, with seniority and effect from 4 November 1969.

Leigh Murray Charles Page is appointed to a commission (on probation) in the Air Training Corps, in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer, for a period to expire on 26 September 1971, with seniority and effect from 23 October 1969.

Promotion

Acting Pilot Officer William Herbert Mannix to be Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 23 December 1969.
