Price Order 2139 (Beer)
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal
hereby makes the following price order:
PRELIMINARY
- This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2139 and shall
come into force on 12 August 1970. - In this order unless the context otherwise requires the said
Act means the Control of Prices Act 1947. - Terms and expressions defined in the said Act when used
in this order have the meanings severally assigned thereto by
the said Act.
APPLICATION OF ORDER - This order shall apply to all intoxicating liquor sold in a
public bar in hotels, taverns, or other premises licensed under
the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, for consumption on the premises,
and to all retail sales of draught beer in flagons and of bottled
beer in bottles containing one reputed quart, whether purchased
for consumption on the premises or elsewhere.
MAXIMUM SELLING PRICES FOR BEER - The maximum selling prices which may be charged for
any intoxicating liquor to which this order applies shall be the
prices which were charged at the particular premises for such
liquor sold in the same measures, containers, and quantities
at the close of business on 7 August 1970.
