Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 1) 1970
PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 1) 1970.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto,
    imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said
    regulations.
  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second
    Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notices shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

    The Rimutaka Licensing Trust Constitution Notice 1970
    PURSUANT to the Local Licensing Trusts Regulations
    , the
    Minister of Justice hereby gives the following notice.
    NOTICE
  4. This notice may be cited as the Rimutaka Licensing Trust
    Constitution Notice 1970.
  5. There is hereby constituted a local licensing trust, to be
    called the Rimutaka Licensing Trust.
  6. (i) The first election of members of the Trust shall be on
    Saturday, 7 March 1970.
    (ii) The Returning Officer for the first election of members
    of the Trust shall be Brian Joseph Pohlen, Deputy County
    Clerk-County Treasurer for the Hutt County Council.
  7. The area within which polls shall be taken for elections
    of members of the Trust shall be the whole of the area
    described in the Schedule to this notice.
  8. The area within which the Trust may expend or distribute
    its profits, pursuant to subsection (1) of section 44 of the
    Licensing Trusts Act 1949, shall be the whole of the area
    described in the Schedule to this notice.

    SCHEDULE
    ALL that portion of the Rimutaka Riding of the County of
    Hutt bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner
    of Lot 1, D.P. 10351, being a point on the south-eastern corner
    of the City of Upper Hutt and the western boundary of the
    Rimutaka Riding, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1967,
    page 2250; thence proceeding easterly along the southern
    boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 10351, to and across Wallaceville
    Road; thence easterly generally along the generally southern
    side of Wallaceville Road to the aforesaid southern boundary
    of Lot 1, D.P. 10351; thence easterly along that boundary to
    the western side of Wallaceville Road; thence south-easterly
    generally along the generally south-western side of Wallace-
    vile Road to the north-eastern boundary of part Lot 1,
    D.P. 9009; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern bound-
    aries of Lot 1, D.P. 9009, part Section 147, Hutt District,
    Sections 4 and 82, Upper Mangaroa Block, Section 8, Block
    II, Rimutaka Survey District, and the production of those
    boundaries to the eastern boundary of the Rimutaka Riding;
    thence north-easterly, westerly, and southerly generally along
    the south-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 10351, the point of
    commencement.
    Maori Land Development Notice
    WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First
    Schedule hereto the land described in that notice was declared
    to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori
    Affairs Act 1953; and whereas it is desired to release a certain
    parcel of that land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV:
    Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs
    Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as
    follows.
    NOTICE
  9. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development
    Notice Whangarei 1970, No. 1.
  10. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
    hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described
    in the Second Schedule hereto.
  11. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
    hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the
    Maori Affairs Act 1953.
