Maori Land Development Notice

WHEREAS by virtue of the notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto the land described in that notice was declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas part of the land has been released from the provisions of the said Part XXIV; and whereas it is desired to release the balance of the land from the provisions of the said Part XXIV:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1970, No. 5.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1970, No. 6.

  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land described as follows:

A. R. P. Being 6,098 3 0 Tawaroa Topu, situated in Blocks IV, V, VIII, IX, and X, Whangaparaoa Survey District. Amalgamation order dated 25 January 1968.

Grant of Rock Oyster Farming Lease

PURSUANT to the Rock Oyster Farming Act 1964, the Minister of Marine has granted to Taylors Fisheries Ltd., of Thames, the lease of 15 acres of seabed (lease No. 208) situated in the Whitianga Estuary approximately 1½ miles upstream from the Whitianga Wharf, for the cultivation of rock oysters.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
