Public Inquiry Perforated or Cellular Sheets, etc., of High
Carbon or Alloy Steel (Tariff Items 73.15.64 and 73.15.73)

NOTICE is hereby given that the public inquiry set down to
commence on Thursday, 2 April 1970, at 10.30 a.m. (New
Zealand Gazette dated 12 February 1970), has been cancelled.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to
be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution
dated 18 March 1970 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from a point approximately 18 chains south of the Waikanae River bridge to
the highway overbridge crossing the North Island Main
Trunk Railway at Paraparaumu, a total distance of approximately 3 miles 34 chains, as more particularly shown on
sheets 1 and 2 of plans M.O.W. 16154 and the accompanying
Schedule, held in the office of the resident engineer,
Ministry of Works, Porirua, and there available for public
inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to
be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution
dated 18 March 1970 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from a point approximately 8 chains south from its intersection with Kapiti Road
to its intersection with Beach Road, Paekakariki, a total
distance of approximately 6 miles 16 chains, as more
particularly shown on sheets 1, 2, 3, and 4 of plans M.O.W.
16155 and the accompanying Schedule, held in the office of
the resident engineer, Ministry of Works, Porirua, and there
available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Declaring State Highway to
be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution
dated 18 March 1970 and pursuant to section 4 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that
part of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno to Wellington) from
its crossing of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway near
Apata Station to its intersection with Carmichaels Road, in
Tauranga County, a total distance of approximately 8.4
miles, as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 14 inclusive
of plan M.O.W. 16172 and the accompanying Schedule, held
in the office of the resident engineer, Ministry of Works,
Tauranga, and there available for public inspection, to be a
limited access road.

The Road Classification (Hawera County) Notice 1970

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the
following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification
    (Hawera County) Notice 1970.

  2. The Hawera County Council's proposed classification of
    the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. The notices dated, respectively, the 24th day of November
    1950,† the 17th day of April 1968,‡ and the 14th day of
    October 1968,§ which relate to the classification of the roads
    described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby revoked.

HAWERA COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class Two

ALL roads under the control of the Hawera County Council.

Road Classification (Kairanga County) Notice No. 2, 1970

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the
following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Kairanga County) Notice No. 2, 1970.

  2. The Kairanga County Council’s proposed classification of
    the road set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 18th day of January 1951†
    as relates to the classification of the former Longburn-Tangimoana Main Highway No. 375 is hereby revoked.

KAIRANGA COUNTY

Roads Classified in Class I

LONGBURN-Rongotea Road (from the No. 56 State Highway
(Palmerston North - Himitangi) to the Manawatu-Kairanga
county boundary).
