Wanganui Acclimatisation District
(1) That portion of the Wanganui River, including all tidal
lands as defined in the Harbours Act 1950, from a line commencing
at the centre of the junction of Kaimatira Road and Riverbank
Road on the left bank of the river; thence extending directly across
the river to the eastern boundary of Wanganui City on the right
bank of the river, to a line commencing at the mouth of the Awarua
Stream on the left bank of the river; thence extending directly
across the river to the southern corner of Lot 3, D.P. 13660, on the
right bank of the river.
Wellington Acclimatisation District
(1) The Water Reserve, being Section 144, Block II, Onga
Survey District, containing 70 acres 1 rood 20 perches being the
property of the Hunterville Town Council.
(2) Silverhope, Marton, being part of Sections 26 and 35
Paraekaretu Block, certificate of title, Volume 101, folio 224,
Wellington Registry, containing 183 acres, more or less, being the
property of Alfred Oliver Bartlett.
(3) South Karori, Wellington, being Part Section 48, Lots 1
and 3, D.P. 20756, and Lot 2, D.P. 3936, containing 63 acres 3
roods 27.1 perches, more or less, being the property of Miss
Margaret Alice Romaine Wright and Mrs Hazel Mary Traynor.
West Coast Acclimatisation District
(1) Buller River Mouth—Area at the mouth of the Buller River:
All that area in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, containing
by admeasurement 650 acres, more or less, situated in Block II (2),
Steeoples S.D., and Block III (3), Kawatiri S.D., and bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point, being the intersection of the
middle line of the Buller River and the middle line of the road
bridge over the Buller River in Block III (3), Kawatiri S.D.;
thence generally westerly and north-westerly by the middle line of
the aforesaid bridge and the Westport-Carters Beach Road to its
intersection with Aerodrome Road in Block III (3), Steeples S.D.;
thence generally easterly along the middle line of the said Aero-
drome Road and that line produced to the middle line of the
Buller River; thence generally southerly along the middle line of that
river to the point of commencement; excepting therefrom that
area declared a Wildlife Refuge (Gazette, 1957, page 825).
(2) Lake Ryan—All that area situated in Block IV (4), Cobden
S.D., known as Lake Ryan and the area included within a line paral-
lel to and 5 chains distant from the shores of the said Lake.
(3) Part property of Messrs Hill Bros., at Ngahere, all that area
situated in Block VII, Mawheranui S.D., being parts of Sections
55, 46, 1254, 33A, and 34 being the property of Frank Joseph Hill,
and Albert Victor Hill, and bounded by the Old Main Road to
Reefton from the southern end of the swing bridge over Nelson
Creek and along that road to the south-western boundary of Sec-
tion 34 and along that boundary to the Greymouth-Inangahua
State Highway and along that highway to Cemetery Road and along
that road and a right projection of that road to the Greymouth-
Reefton Railway and along the railway to the southern end of the
swing bridge the point of commencement.
(4) All that area bounded on the east generally by the left bank
of the Omotumotu Creek, from its confluence with the Grey River
to its intersection with the western boundary of the railway reserve;
thence northerly generally along the said western boundary to a
point opposite the confluence of the Omotumotu Creek with the
Grey River; thence by a right line to the point of commencement.
Westland Acclimatisation District
(1) Okarito Township Reserve, being that part of the Okarito
Lagoon on the south side of the Okarito Road.
(2) The Otatoki Creek and its tributaries to within 3 chains
of the Okarito Lagoon as may be further defined by the erection of
white-painted posts.
(3) Lake Kaniere.
Whangarei Acclimatisation District
(1) The City of Whangarei.
(2) The Town District of Hikurangi, and property of the Hiku-
rangi Town Council: being Allotments N.E. 47 and S.W. 49
Hikurangi Parish, Block XVI, Hukerenui S.D.; Allotment N.E. 49
Hikurangi Parish, Block XVI, Hukerenui S.D.; Section 6, Block
XVI, Hukerenui S.D.; Lot 1, Section 7, Block XVI, Hukerenui S.D. ;
Section 9, Block XVI, Hukerenui S.D.; Lot 1, D.P. 52817, Hikurangi
Parish, Block V, Purua S.D.; approximately 456 acres.
(3) The Langdale Game Farm at Ngararatunua.
(4) Section of the Maungaturoto Gorge—An area extending for
5 miles along the Waipu-Maungaturoto Road from the boundary of
the Whangarei County towards Waipu, and being bounded on
either side of the road by lines 100 yd from and parallel to both
sides of the said road.
(5) That portion of the Waihoihoi Stream and an area 1 chain
in depth along each bank from the bridge across the Waihoihoi
Stream to Waipu to Simpkins Road.
(6) Swamp approximately 6 miles from Waipu on Mrs I. M.
Wright's property on the Whangarei-Waipu Road together with
an area of 200 yd from the edge of the said swamp.
(7) The property of W. Wakelin, Sections 68, 69, and 70,
Whangarei Parish, Block XII, Purua S.D., approximately 128
acres.
(8) The property of I. D. Bodle, Sections N.W.M. 13, W., and
part 14, Ruatanga Parish, and Section 4, Block IV, Purua S.D.,
approximately 311 acres.
(9) The property of M. L. Forsyth, part Allotment 56, 57, 59,
61 and Allotment 60, 112, 140; Lot 1, D.P. 57186, Blocks VIII,
and XII, Purua S.D., approximately 173 acres.

Daily Game Possession Limit
Except where all game is labelled with the following details:
(a) The name and address of the person by whom the game was
taken;
(b) The number of the licence to hunt or kill game held by
the person by whom the game was taken;
(c) The name of the acclimatisation society by which that licence
was issued; and
(d) The date on which the game was taken.
No person shall have in his possession on any one day game in
excess of the following numbers:
Saturday, 2 May 1970: A number of game corresponding
to the number specified in this notification as the daily bag
limit.
Sunday, 3 May 1970: Twice the number of game specified for
Saturday, 2 May 1970.
Every subsequent day: As for Saturday, 2 May 1970.
FOURTH SCHEDULE
The attention of sportsmen and others is directed especially to
the under-mentioned provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953 and the
Wildlife Regulations 1955.
(NOTE—“Secretary” means the Secretary for Internal Affairs,
and includes his deputy.)

Wildlife Act 1953, Section 2A
2A. (1) Subject to the provisions of subsections (2) and (3)
of this section, any animal or thing shall be deemed to be in the
possession of any person when that person has, alone or jointly or
