(d) All other expenditure in, or in connection with, the
riding.

  1. All the valuation rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and
    rate books in force in the existing Waiheke Road District shall
    continue in force in the new county until the new valuation
    rolls, electors lists, electors rolls, and rate books respectively
    are made for the said county, pursuant to the Counties Act

  2. All bylaws in force in the former Waiheke Road District
    shall become the bylaws of the said county until new bylaws
    are made pursuant to the Counties Act 1956.

  3. All existing staff of the former Waiheke Road Board
    shall be taken over by the Council of the said county under,
    and subject to, the provisions of the Local Authorities
    (Employment Protection) Act 1963. This provision shall be in
    extension of, and subject to, the provisions of the said Act.

  4. The first county clerk of the said county shall be the
    Clerk of the former Waiheke Road Board.

  5. So far as they are applicable and with the necessary
    modifications, the provisions of section 99A of the Land Transfer Act 1952 shall apply to the constitution of the said county.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing
60 square miles, more or less, comprising all those areas of
land above mean high-water mark being the islands of
Rangitoto, Motutapu, Rakino, Motuihe, Waiheke, Rotoroa,
Ponui, Pakihi, Karamurama, and other adjacent islands or
islets as contained within the area bounded by a line commencing at a point of 174° 49' east longitude, 36° 40' south
latitude, and proceeding easterly along that parallel of latitude
to 175° 15' east longitude; thence southerly along that line of
longitude to 36° 54' south latitude; thence south-westerly along
a right line to a point 20 chains due south of Karamurama
Island; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point of
175° 1' east longitude, 36° 50' south latitude, along another
right line to a point of 174° 49' east longitude, 36° 49' south
latitude; thence northerly along that line of 174° 49' east
longitude to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE

ALL that area of Waiheke County comprising the islands of
Rangitoto, Motutapu, Motuihe, Waiheke, and other adjacent
islands or islets, as excluded from north and east ridings, as
described in the Third and Fourth Schedules respectively.

THIRD SCHEDULE

ALL that area of Waiheke County comprising the islands of
Rakino, The Noises, and other adjacent islands or islets lying
to the north-east of the middle of Rakino Channel, but
excluding D'Urville Rocks.

FOURTH SCHEDULE

ALL that area of Waiheke County comprising the islands of
Tarahiki, Pakatoa, Rotoroa, Ponui, Pakihi, and other adjacent
islands or islets lying to the east of the middle of Waiheke
Channel.

Redefining the Limits of the Harbour of Tauranga

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby redefines
the outward sea limits of the harbour of Tauranga to be as
described in the First Schedule to this order, and defines the
inwards limits of the harbour of Tauranga to be as described
in the Second Schedule to this order.

FIRST SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF OUTWARD SEA LIMITS
Katikati Harbour—
By a right line commencing at Trig. 69, Block XIII, Katikati
Survey District, and extending at a bearing of 341° for a
distance of 2 nautical miles; thence by an arc of 2 nautical
miles radius centred on Trig. 69 extending in a clockwise
direction to mean high-water mark at Matakanana Island.
Tauranga Harbour—
By a right line bearing 0° 00' from mean high-water mark
at Mount Maunganui to North Rock Light; thence by a right
line bearing 93° from North Rock Light to a point 2 nautical
miles distant from Trig. A; thence by an arc of 2 nautical
miles radius centred on Trig. A extending in an anticlockwise
direction to mean high-water mark at Matakanana Island.
Maketu Estuary—
By a right line extending across the mouth of the estuary
at a bearing of 295° from Trig. F. (Maketu).
Waihi Estuary—
By a right line extending across the mouth of the estuary
at a bearing of 75° from Trig. F. (Maketu).

SECOND SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF INWARDS LIMITS

  1. The waters of the Wairoa River downstream of the seawards side of the Wairoa Bridge of State Highway No. 2; and
  2. All tidal waters within the limits defined in the First
    Schedule to this order; excepting thereout the Wairoa River,
    the inwards limit of which is defined in paragraph 1 of the
    Second Schedule to this order.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
Hopper Bros. Ltd. to reclaim from the Weiti River an area
of 2 roods 23 perches, more or less, as shown, coloured red, on
plan M.D. 13683 and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington; subject to the provisions of section
58 of the Land Act 1948.

Exempting Lands in the Westland Land District from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir
Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, do hereby exempt the lands described in the Schedule
hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT—BRUNNER BOROUGH
SECTION 360, Town of Dobson, situated in Block X, Arnold
Survey District: area, 1 rood, more or less. Part deeds index
M.S. 286, and all certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio 1308,
limited as to parcels (leasehold). (S.O. Roll Plan 2/81); also
Sections 95 and 96, Town of Dobson, situated in Block X,
Arnold Survey District: area, 2 roods, more or less. Part deeds
index M.S. 286, and all certificate of title, Volume 1A, folio

save and excepting for Her Majesty the Queen all seams or
beds of coal and all other minerals and metals, and reserving
to Her Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to
