A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS on the 28th day of October 1969 the General Assembly of New Zealand was summoned to a meeting on the 22nd day of January 1970: And whereas for certain causes and considerations I have thought fit to prorogue it:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the New Zealand Constitution Act 1852, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby prorogue the General Assembly until Thursday, the 12th day of March 1970, and summon it to meet at 2.30 p.m. on that day in the Parliament House in the City of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of December 1969.
