Notice of Intention to Take Land in Blocks II and V, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of the Whakatane River control scheme; and, for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Whakatane and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same, in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made, in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

The No. 12 Rotorua County Lake Waters Control 1964, Commencement Notice

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Harbours Act 1950, and in accordance with the provisions of bylaw 2 of the No. 12 Rotorua County Lake Waters Control Bylaws 1964, approved by Gazette notice on 23 August 1965*, the Minister of Marine hereby gives notice that the aforesaid bylaws shall come into force on the 10th day of December 1969.

The Traffic (Patea Borough and Patea County) Notice No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THIS notice may be cited as the Traffic (Patea Borough and Patea County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1952.

The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 9th day of May 1969†, which relates to Patea Borough, is hereby revoked.
