Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 147—Public Inquiry into Import Duties and Import Licensing Affecting the Floor Coverings of Tariff Items 39.01.61, 39.02.61, 39.07.99, 40.08.01, 40.08.02, 40.08.05, 40.08.06, 40.08.07, 40.08.09, 40.14.02, 40.14.19, 45.04.01, 45.04.04, 48.12.00, 59.10.01, and 59.10.09

  1. The Tariff and Development Board has been requested by the Minister of Customs to inquire into and report upon the tariff and import licensing affecting floor coverings classified within the Tariff items set out in the Schedule to this notice.
  2. The Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Boardroom, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, 17 March 1970, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
  3. Any person who wishes to tender evidence should lodge 12 copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence, to be presented under oath at the public inquiry, with the under-named no later than Tuesday, 3 March 1970. In preparing this evidence the "Notes for Guidance of Witnesses" prepared by the Board, may be of assistance. Copies of these notes may be obtained from the Board's office.
