The Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 4, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Otamatea County) Notice No. 4, 1969.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the 10th day of February in the next ensuing year and the period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Otamatea County, at Tinopai:
Matakohi-Tinopai Road (from a point 10 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Ngatoto Road to the Tinopai Wharf).

The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 5, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 5, 1969.

The area specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 11th day of June 1958†, which relates to Maketu, in Tauranga County, is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Tauranga County, at Maketu:
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Town Point Road 15 chains measured northerly generally along the side of the said road from the northern end of Williams Crescent; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of the Town Point Road to the northern end of Williams Crescent; thence easterly and southerly generally along the eastern side of Williams Crescent to Arawa Avenue; thence south-westerly generally by a right line across Arawa Avenue to a point on the northern side of Little Waihi Road opposite the eastern side of Church Road; thence across Little Waihi Road at right angles from its northern side to its southern side; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of Church Road to the eastern side of the Paengaroa-Maketu Road; thence along the eastern side of the said road to a point 3 chains measured southerly generally from Church Road; thence across the Paengaroa-Maketu Road at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence northerly generally along the western side of the Paengaroa-Maketu Road to the south-eastern side of Cemetery Road; thence south-westerly generally along the said side of Cemetery Road to the south-western side of Spencer Avenue; thence north-westerly generally along the said side of Spencer Avenue to the south-eastern side of the Tauranga-Maketu Road; thence along the south-eastern side of the Tauranga-Maketu Road to a point 8 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said roadside from Spencer Avenue; thence north-westerly generally by a right line across the Tauranga-Maketu Road to a point on the eastern bank of the Maketu Estuary; thence north-easterly generally along the said bank of the said estuary to a point due west of the commencing point; thence due east by a right line to the commencing point.

The Traffic (Wanganui City, Wanganui County, and Waitotara County) Notice No. 1, 1969
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wanganui City, Wanganui County, and Waitotara County) Notice No. 1, 1969.

The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purpose of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 9th day of May 1969†, which relates to Wanganui City and Waitotara County, is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Wanganui City:
Brunswick Road (from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to a point 18 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Weka Street).
Chester Road.
Kaikokopu Road (from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to Ward Street).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitotara County, adjacent to Wanganui City:
Virginia Road (from a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along Virginia Road from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City to the said boundary).
SITUATED within Wanganui County, near Wanganui City:
No. 2 Line (from the eastern boundary of Wanganui City to a point 8 chains measured easterly generally along the said line from the said boundary).
Wikitoria Road (from the Wanganui Metropolitan Motorway to a point 56 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the said motorway).
THIRD SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waitotara County, near Wanganui City:
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from a point 7 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Pickwick Road to the north-western boundary of Wanganui City).
Virginia Road (from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along Virginia Road from the north-western boundary of Wanganui City).

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Kakaramea and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948, as from and after the 3rd day of November 1969.
