Piako River Scheme Loan 1969—$300,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Hauraki Catchment Board, held on 15 October 1969, the following resolution was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hauraki Catchment Board hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $300,000, authorised to be raised by the Hauriki Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the completion of the Piako River scheme works, the said Hauraki Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate, on the acreage system of rating and on a graduated scale, of the following amounts for each acre

upon the rateable property of the Piako River scheme rating district, defined on the classification map for the Piako River scheme classification and numbered “Drawing No. 402”, according to the classification adopted by the Board on the 15th day of October 1969; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

CERTIFIED copy of resolution making special rate as security for the Mount Albert Waterworks Redemption Loan No. 1, 1969, of $8,000, passed by the Mount Albert Borough Council at a meeting held on 14 October 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $8,000 known as the Waterworks Redemption Loan No. 1, 1969, of $8,000, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Waterworks Loan 1958, of $205,000, which matures on 27 October 1969, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought one five (.0015) of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Reticulation Extension and Reinforcement Loan (1969), $2,000,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations made thereunder respectively, and all other powers it enabling, the Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing half-yearly instalments of interest and yearly instalments of principal and other charges on a loan of $2,000,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned enactments in order to provide moneys for the purpose of extending and reinforcing the reticulation system throughout the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.042c in the dollar upon the rateable value (being the capital value), of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata Electric Power District, as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 October 1923, and amended by Proclamations appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 November 1924, 26 August 1926, 7 March 1929, 24 January 1935, and 14 April 1954, and by section 44 of the Local Legislation Act 1961; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan (being a period of 15 years), or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board held on the 21st day of October 1969.

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 15th day of October 1969:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and one thousand dollars ($101,000) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 54, 1969, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Tram Track Removal Loan 1959, of $146,000, which matures on 1 November 1969, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought three one four (.0314) of one cent (1c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
