Taupo Borough Council Water Power and Electric Lines
Licence 1965, Amendment No. 3
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, and the approval of
the Electricity Distribution Commission having been given
under section 32 of the Electricity Distribution Commission
Act 1967, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the
Taupo Borough Council Water Power and Electric Lines
Licence 1965* by including in the First Schedule thereto the
area described in the Schedule below.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the South Auckland, Wellington, and
Hawke’s Bay Land Districts bounded by a line commencing
at a point on the western boundary of Block V, Waitahanui
Survey District, 50 chains from the north-western corner of
that block, and proceeding due east to the eastern boundary
of Block VII, Waitahanui Survey District; thence northerly
along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Block
III, Waitahanui Survey District, and Blocks XV and XI,
Tauhara Survey District, to the south-western boundary of
Part Tauhara Middle 4A 2; thence south-easterly along that
boundary to Trig. Station 44, Motukino; thence along the
north-western boundary of part Tauhara Middle No. 4, along
a right line to and along the generally north-western
boundaries of Section 6, Block XII, Tauhara Survey District,
part Tauhara Middle Block (State forest, Gazette, 1931, p.
3412), and part Kaingaroa No. 2 (State forest, Gazette, 1930,
p. 2639), to a point due west of Trig. Station F., Tiritiri, in
Block III, Heruiwi Survey District; thence due east to that
Trig. Station; thence southerly along a right line to Trig.
Station B., Pukeroa, in Block XI, Heruiwi Survey District,
and south-easterly along another right line to Trig. Station
Te Taumutu in Block XVI, Heruiwi Survey District, being
a point on the south-eastern watershed of the Rangitaiki
and Whakatane Rivers; thence south generally along that
watershed to the northernmost corner of Pohokura No. 1 in
Block IV, Runanga Survey District; thence southerly and
easterly along the western and southern boundaries of
Pohokura No. 1 to the western boundary of Tatarakina No.
11; thence southerly generally along that last-mentioned
boundary and its production to the middle of the Mohaka
River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line
with the middle of the Waipunga River in Block XIII,
Waitara Survey District; thence to and up the middle of
the Waipunga River to the eastern boundary of Block XI,
Tarawera Survey District; thence northerly along that
boundary, northerly, westerly, and southerly along the eastern,
northern, and western boundaries of Block VII, Tarawera
Survey District, and southerly along the western boundary
of Block XI, aforesaid, to the north-eastern boundary of part
Tarawera No. 8; thence north-westerly generally along that
boundary, and north-westerly, south-westerly, and south-
easterly along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries
of Tarawera 10A, the northern end of Omarowa Roadway,
and the north-western and south-western boundaries of
Tarawera 10A to a point in line with the middle of a
tributary of the Toropapa Stream; thence south-westerly to
and up the middle of that tributary to the southern boundary
of Block X, Tarawera Survey District, approximately 10
chains east of the south-western corner of that block; thence
westerly along that block boundary and the southern bound-
ary of Block IX, Tarawera Survey District, to the eastern
boundary of Wharetoto No. 1; thence southerly and westerly
generally along the eastern and generally southern boundaries
of No. 1, aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary
produced to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence down
the middle of that river to a right line from Trig. Station 65A
in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District, and passing through
Trig. Station 68A in Block XIII, Kaweka Survey District;
thence along that right line to Trig. Station 65A, aforesaid;
thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 26,
Tauwhaketewhango, in Block XII, Mangamaiire Survey
District, and northerly along a right line to Trig. Station
Ahipaepae in Block XIV, Waitahanui Survey District; thence
north-westerly along a right line to the point of commence-
ment; as the said area is shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D.
783 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity
Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.
This amendment shall take effect on the 1st day of October
1969.

The King County Electric Power Board Water Power and
and Electric Lines Licence 1968, Amendment No. 2
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, and the approval of
the Electricity Distribution Commission having been given
under section 32 of the Electricity Distribution Commission
Act 1967, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the King
County Electric Power Board Water Power and Electric
Lines Licence 1968*, as amended by the King County Elec-
tric Power Board Water Power and Electric Lines Licence
1968, Amendment No. 1 (Gazette, 21 August 1969, p. 1563),
by deleting clause 1 from the First Schedule thereto and
substituting the following:
“1. Lines and works for the transmission and supply of
electrical energy within the King Country Electric Power
District, as defined in the Fourth Schedule to the Proclamation
dated the 20th day of September 1967 and published in the
Gazette on the 28th day of the same month, at p. 1653;
excluding, firstly, all that area in the South Auckland Land
District, Taupo County, bounded by a line commencing
at Trig. Station 44, Motukino, in Block XII, Tauhara Survey
District, and proceeding north-westerly along the south-
western boundary of part Tauhara Middle 4A 2 to the western
boundary of Block XII, aforesaid; thence northerly along
