NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
THE FOOTE ADOPTION ACT
Notice is hereby given that Jean Catherine Leigh Foote, of Christchurch, married woman, intends to apply for leave to bring in a Bill intituled “An Act to give to an interim order of adoption made on the 13th day of October 1964 in favour of Leslie David Foote and Jean Catherine Leigh Foote as adopting parents of Douglas James Foote force and effect as if it had been a final order of adoption made on the same day”, the object of which is to declare that the interim order of adoption, made by the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch on the 13th day of October 1964 on the application of Leslie David Foote (since deceased) and Jean Catherine Leigh Foote to adopt Douglas James Foote, shall operate, and for all purposes be deemed always to have operated, as a final order of adoption.
A copy of the Bill may be inspected at the offices of Messrs Ralph Thompson Shaw Atkinson and Rea, 168-170 Hereford Street, Christchurch, to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent.
