All that area of Whangaparaoa Peninsula bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of Whangaparaoa Road at its intersection with Viponds Road; thence north-easterly by a right line to a point on the northern shore of the said peninsula; thence easterly generally along the said shore line to a point due north of the end of Whangaparaoa Road; thence due south by a right line across the end of Whangaparaoa Road to the southern shore line of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula; thence westerly generally along the said shore line to a point due south of the intersection of D’Oyly Drive with Whangaparaoa Road; thence due north by a right line to a point on the south-western side of Whangaparaoa Road opposite the north-western side of D’Oyly Drive; thence across Whangaparaoa Road at right angles from its south-western side to its north-eastern side; thence north-westerly generally along the side of the said road to its intersection with Viponds Road; thence by a right line across Viponds Road to the commencing point.

The Traffic (Hamilton City and Waikato County) Notice
No. 1, 1969

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hamilton City and Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1969.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
  5. The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 3rd day of May 1968†, which relates to Hamilton City, is hereby revoked.

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 3 chains measured northerly generally along the said highway from Lorne Street) and (from the southern boundary of Hamilton City to a point 5 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said highway from Tomin Road).
