Awards for Gallantry and Distinguished Service—Distinguished Conduct Medal
WITH reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 6 March 1969, No. 13, p. 430, the name of Private (temp. Lance Corporal) Arohanui Len Ropeta is hereby corrected to read “Private (temp. Lance Corporal) David Parata Ransfield”.

CORRIGENDUM
IN a notice published in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, No. 41, at page 1281, declaring additional land at Upper Hutt taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway, for the description of the land in the Schedule thereto, which reads certificate of title, Volume 6C, folio 1394, read certificate of title, Volume 6C, folio 1384.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Declaring Areas in the Westland Acclimatisation District to be Wildlife Refuges (Valley of the Franz Josef Glacier)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Lands (being the Minister charged with the administration of the department of State having the control of the land of the Crown affected by this Proclamation), hereby revoke that part of the Proclamation issued on the 19th day of August 1957* declaring the area of land in the Westland Acclimatisation District described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
VALLEY of the Franz Josef Glacier situated in the County of Westland, Westland Land District:
All that area situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Waiho Survey District, Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII, Mount Cook Survey District, and Block XIII, Waitangitaona Survey District, bounded as follows: commencing at the south-western corner of part Reserve 339 and proceeding easterly along the southern boundary of the said reserve and the southern boundaries of Reserves 1178 and 1218, the latter produced across a road to the left bank of the Waiho River; thence generally southerly by the said left bank of the Waiho River and the left bank of the Callery River to the spur which leads to the summit of the Baird Range; thence southerly by that spur and the summit of the Baird Range to the main divide of the Southern Alps; thence generally south-westerly by the main divide to its confluence with the Fritz Range; thence generally northerly by the summit of the Fritz Range to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/263 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of August 1969.
