Boundaries of Borough of Papakura, County of Franklin, and Drury, Hunua, and Mercer Ridings of County of Franklin Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Papakura, the County of Franklin, and the Drury, Hunua, and Mercer Ridings of the County of Franklin, the boundaries having previously been altered by Order in Council on 12 February 1962, published in Gazette, 22 February 1962, No. 13, p. 332; on 21 November 1962, published in Gazette, 29 November 1962, No. 77, p. 2150; on 17 November 1965, published in Gazette, 25 November 1965, No. 71, p. 2076; and on 23 January 1968, published in Gazette, 25 January 1968, No. 4, p. 73.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF PAPAKURA

All that area in the North Auckland Land District containing 3,410 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection, in Block III, Drury Survey District, of the eastern side of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway with the line of mean high-water, spring tide, of the Pahurehure Inlet, Manukau Harbour, and proceeding south-easterly and then generally northerly along that line of mean high-water, spring tide, to and easterly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 3 and 2, D.P. 48861, in Block XIV, Otahuhu Survey District, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the western side of Tironui Road; thence along a right line to the intersection of the eastern side of that road with the middle line of Waterview Road and along the said middle line to and south-easterly along the south-western side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the northern boundary of Allotment 17 of Section 8, Village of Papakura; thence along a right line across that railway and across Valley Road to the southernmost corner of the part Allotment 41, Papakura Parish, shown on D.P. 10783, and along the south-eastern boundary of that part Allotment 41 to and along the south-western boundary of Allotment 42, Papakura Parish, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 31503; thence along a right line across Grove Road to and along that boundary and along a right line across Cosgrave Road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 55480, and along the generally western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 55480, to Old Wairoa Road; thence continuing southerly along a right line across that road to and along the western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 17674, and its production across Clevedon Road to and easterly along the southern side of that road and southerly along the western side of the Dominion Road to the northernmost corner of Allotment 16 of Suburban Section 1, Opaheke Parish; thence easterly generally along a right line across Dominion Road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 54045, and Lot 2, D.P. 50670, to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 53638, and along a right line across a public road to and along that south-western boundary, along the south-western and southern boundaries of Lot 8, D.P. 53638, and along the last-mentioned boundary produced to and along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 9, D.P. 54217, to the easternmost corner of that lot; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 6 and 8, D.P. 54217, and the north-eastern end of a public street to the northern boundary of Allotment 139, Opaheke Parish, in Block IV, Drury Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Allotments 139 and 138, and then southerly generally along the western boundary of Allotment 138, the said allotments being of Opaheke Parish, to and along the eastern side of Red Hill Road, to and along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the part Allotment 154, Opaheke Parish, shown on D.P. 27455, and along the eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 49623, Lot 16, D.P. 43898, and the part Allotment 108 of Suburban Section 1, Opaheke Parish, taken for defence purposes (Gazette, 1941, p. 2058), and along the last-mentioned boundary produced across Hays Stream to its left bank; thence south-westerly generally along that left bank to a point due east of the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 58842; thence due west across that stream and the North Island Main Trunk Railway to and northerly along the western side of that railway to and again south-westerly along the left bank of the stream forming the generally south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25726, to another point due east of the southernmost corner of the aforesaid Lot 1, D.P. 58842; thence due west to that corner, and along the northern and western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 58842, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 25726; thence south-westerly along a right line across Opaheke Road to and along that boundary and its production to the generally eastern boundary of Lot 27, D.P. 41109; thence south-easterly along that eastern boundary to and along the eastern and westerly along the southern boundary of Lot 28, D.P. 41109, and the southern boundary of Lot 24, D.P. 41109, and continuing westerly and then southerly along the generally eastern side of Great South Road to its intersection with a line 250 links south of, and parallel to, the northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 4963, and again westerly along that line and its production to the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 44630; thence northerly along the eastern side of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway and its production to the northern side of Beach Road, and easterly along that northern side to and again northerly along the eastern side of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF FRANKLIN

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the South Head of the Manukau Harbour, in Block XIII, Titirangi Survey District, and proceeding easterly generally along the line of mean high-water, spring tide, of that harbour and Pahurehure Inlet to and along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the Borough of Papakura, as hereinbefore described, to a point in Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District, on the north-western side of the public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 50670, in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 53638; thence continuing easterly generally along that north-western side to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 16680, along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 146, Opaheke Parish, and the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 147, 148, 149, 151, and 150, Opaheke
