Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
Pursuant to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Temporary Protection of Industry
Notice is hereby given that the Emergency Protection Authority has been requested to undertake an inquiry, in terms of the Tariff and Development Board Amendment Act 1967, and to report, in terms of section 10D of that Act, concerning the following goods:
Sulphonated derivatives of hydrocarbons, falling within Tariff item 29.03.00.

Temporary Protection of Industry
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, in terms of section 10E (4) of the Tariff and Development Board Amendment Act 1967, to request the Emergency Protection Authority to make a further report, after an inquiry, concerning the temporary protection in respect of certain woven textile fabrics, as imposed in accordance with the Customs Tariff Amendment Order (No. 8), 1968.

The Standards Act 1965-Draft Amendment to New Zealand Standard Specification
Pursuant to section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendment is being circulated:
Number and Description of Draft
D111 Draft amendment No. 1 to NZS 354:1967, Ceiling roses made of synthetic resin mouldings, for use on 250-volt circuits.
Note-The draft amendment provides for slotted fixing-holes where required.
All persons who may be affected by this amendment and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies free of charge from the Standards Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Display Centre Building (or Private Bag), Wellington.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 22 August 1969.

The Standards Act 1965-New Zealand Standard Specifications Proposed for Revocation
Notice is hereby given that the New Zealand standard specifications listed in the Schedule hereto have been reviewed by committees of the Standards Council and have been recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1965.
Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke these standard specifications, and who may wish to object to their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Wellington, not later than 22 August 1969.
