Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 90 (New Zealand Gazette of 2 April 1969) gave notice of the Board’s intention to recommend, in respect of the goods listed in the Schedule to that notice, reduction of the rates of duty applicable to imports of Australian origin to the levels of the British Preferential Tariff or such lower rates as were indicated in the notes to the Schedule.

An objection having been lodged, in accordance with the terms of Notice No. 90, to such action in respect of rubber bands ex Tariff item 40.14.01, the Board will, in accordance with its normal procedures, conduct a public inquiry in the Boardroom, First Floor, Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, 23 September 1969, commencing at 10.30 a.m.
