BOUNDARIES OF THE ARARATA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF HAWERA

All that area in the Taranaki Land District, County of Hawera, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Patea River in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 6, Block XIII, Omoana Survey District, the said point being on the northern boundary of the County of Hawera, as hereinbefore described, and proceeding down the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 5, Block I, Opaku Survey District; thence generally southerly to and along the western boundary of the said Section 5 and its production to the middle of Pukekino Road; thence generally westerly along the middle of the road and Tangahoe Valley Road to the middle of the Tangahoe Stream; thence generally south-westerly down the middle of that stream to the middle of Ohangai Road in Block VI, Hawera Survey District; thence generally westerly and north-westerly along the middle of that road to its junction with Tawhiti Road; thence south-westerly along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of the Borough of Hawera, as described in Gazette, 1960, pp. 68–70; thence generally north-westerly, south-westerly, and again north-westerly along the boundary of that borough to the middle of the New Plymouth–Wellington Railway; thence north-westerly along the middle of that railway to Ngarongo Road; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to the south-eastern corner of Hutinga 562A 2 Block; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said block to the New Plymouth–Wellington Railway; thence north-westerly along a right line between the south-eastern corner of that railway and the north-eastern corner of part Lot 3, D.P. 1013, to the middle of Wallscourt Place; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road and Ketemarae Road to its junction with Austin Road; thence north-westerly along the middle of that road to its junction with Boylan Road; thence in a northerly direction along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of the Hawera County, as hereinbefore described; thence generally easterly along that boundary to the middle of the Patea River, being the point of commencement.

RESERVE BANK OF NEW ZEALAND

Pursuant to section 33 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964, the Reserve Bank, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that as at the close of business on 28 January 1969, and until further notice, balances to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each trading bank shall be equal to an amount which, when added to that bank’s holdings of Reserve Bank notes as disclosed in that bank’s latest available weekly return of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, will be not less than the aggregate of:

17 per cent of that bank’s demand deposits in New Zealand
plus 3 per cent of that bank’s time deposits in New Zealand
as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 31 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1964.
