PURSUANT to section 5 of the Historic Places Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoints the following persons to be members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

Canon Hohepa Taepa, for a term of 3 years expiring on 31 March 1972.

To represent the historical, archaeological, founders’, pioneers’, and early settlers’ associations and societies in New Zealand:

PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints the officer for the time being holding office as scientist, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Lincoln, to be a non-elective member for a period of 3 years of the Marlborough Catchment Board, in place of the officer for the time being holding office as scientist, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Christchurch.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Hobson County Council stopping the portions of road described in the First and Second Schedules hereto.

ALL those pieces of road situated in Block VI, Tokatoka Survey District, North Auckland R.D., and described as follows:

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 23242 (S.O. 45993) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

ALL that portion of road containing 1 rood 18.2 perches situated in Block XV, Newcastle Survey District, adjoining or passing through stopped road in document S. 360950; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 8637 (S.O. 41280) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow.
